About Me

Woman in denim jacket and cap sitting on a rock, smiling outdoors.

I am a self-taught artist, art instructor, and published author based in Connecticut. My creative journey began in 2019 as a personal search for a deeper connection with God—a search that led me to nature, journaling, and the healing practice of making art. What began as a spiritual exploration has since blossomed into a calling to create, teach, and build community through artistic expression.

My work is rooted in nature itself.  I am drawn to mixed media—combining acrylic paint, collage papers, found objects, molding mediums, pressed flowers, leaves—to build texture and meaning into each piece.  My artistic style often explores the emotional resonance of symbolism, with themes inspired by nature, faith, and personal transformation.

In addition to my personal art practice, I’m passionate about creating spaces where others can access their own creativity. I lead art workshops, retreats, classes, and creative sessions for individuals of all ages, integrating creative curriculum development and hands-on techniques that meet participants right where they are.

With a heart for community, I lead collaborative and community art projects, bringing people together—for shared creative experiences. Whether painting outdoors, teaching in a group online or in person, or curating a retreat, I believe in art’s ability to awaken, restore, and empower.  My work is an invitation to explore, to heal, and to find joy through the act of creating.

    Canvas Moments, an Artist's Diary

As I paddle around the corner, I began to notice berries. Blueberries in the bush. I thought to myself, this is the spot that my birds love to gather. But, my little friends didn’t come. My eyes stayed focused on the bush and I gently paddled. It was the largest low bush of blueberries I have ever seen.

Read my blog and find out more of my found blueberry treasure.
